It was hard saying goodbye to Kieran. He was generous with his time and we enjoyed doing things with him meeting his friends and seeing where he lives. How nice it would be to just drop in for a drink or a meal or an outing occasionally rather than taking up a big part of his week. I’ll keep trying to win the lottery so we can go more often (but for shorter trips) and to explore some more interesting places together - and travel 1st class.

We had some time in the lounge before our uneventful flights, even managed a bit of sleep.

The dogs and cat were pleased to see us back.

We enjoyed a good sleep last night. There’s nothing like your own bed and own pillow!

I’m sure it won’t be long before we’re back to our normal routine and surprised the time went so quickly.

Thank goodness the internet makes communication easy. Not as good as in person, but a lot better than the days of aerogrammes when we first started travelling.
